DLA Piper, an international law firm based in Chicago, was interested in figurative work, or work that contained some reference to the natural or built world. San Francisco’s RMW Architects designed the office in Houston, utilizing caramel tones in the wood with limestone detailing. The overall feel of the space is light-filled and warm, complemented by etched glass and steel accents. The art reflects the international and national scope of the firm, utilizing limited edition prints by blue-chip artists, photography, paintings. These new works extend and complement DLA Piper’s present collection, which is housed in 28 offices throughout the United States.
