Welcoming to the Team, Francesca Lanza and GraciLou Ackerman
Francesca Lanza, M.A.
Born in Genoa, Italy, Francesca has lived in Houston since 2016. She earned her Master of Art degree in Art History & Artistic Heritage Management, as well as her Bachelor of Art degree in Conservation of Cultural Heritage from the University of Genoa. Francesca has 15 years of experience in museums and cultural institutions in United States and Italy, focusing on art, iconography, and architecture of the Renaissance, Baroque, and Rococo periods.
In Italy, Francesca worked for 7 years as a museum educator at the Museo d’Arte di Palazzo Gavotti in Savona, where she designed and led classes, tours, and workshops for schools and groups.
After relocating to Boston in the US, Francesca worked with the education and family programs at the List Visual Arts Center at MIT. Since moving to Houston, Francesca has designed and led courses in the History of Italian Art, spanning ancient to contemporary subjects, while concurrently working as an Italian language instructor at the Italian Cultural Center, Houston. Francesca brings her wealth of knowledge of European art, as well as her superior research skills, to MKG Art Management.
GraciLou Ackerman
GraciLou Ackerman joined MKG Art Management in 2022 and specializes in consulting and appraising support as well as social media content development and management. GraciLou earned her Bachelor of Fine Art degree from Murray State University in Kentucky, graduating Cum Laude. Her educational focus was photography, art theory, art history, and graphic design, and she brings her studio-based perspective to MKG. After graduating from college in 2022, GraciLou moved to Houston, continuing her studies through Sotheby’s Institute of Art, earning a Certificate of Art Law.
